These terms govern your use of the Slate app. By installing or using the app, you agree to them.

The app

Slate is a set of everyday calculators, provided as-is. It works out what you ask it to, keeps the calculations you finish on your device, and is not a backup or storage service.

What the numbers are, and are not

Every figure Slate shows is arithmetic on what you entered. The Loan tool's repayments and interest are for comparing scenarios, not a quote or financial advice; the figures your lender holds are the ones that govern. The Exchange tool converts on published reference rates, which are not live market quotes; the rate a bank or provider applies to a real transaction is its own. GST and Tip work at the rates you set. If a number matters, check it against the figure that governs it.

Slate Pro

Slate Pro is a single one-time purchase made through the store you installed Slate from. It unlocks the five Pro tools and every skin and sound set, including ones added later. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policies.

Licence

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app except where such restriction is prohibited by law.

Your content

The settings and calculation history you put in Slate are yours. Slate does not upload them, and keeps them on your device.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it stable and pleasant to use, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zone7 Studios Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Where our liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the app or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Nothing here affects any consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
