- The system bars are back by default. Every earlier build hid them for everyone, which on three-button navigation cost a swipe before every Back or Home press. Slate now behaves like any other app.
- Full screen is a choice. Settings › Full screen buys the whole panel back for the board, and the toggle lands at once.
- Navigation-bar fixes on older Android. Android 8 and 9 no longer paint a pale bar under pale icons on the dark skins, and the light skins get dark icons in the bars.

- Exchange, the eighth tool. Convert currencies on published reference rates, and the last table is kept on the phone. Part of Slate Pro.
- Every sum remembered. Slate keeps the calculations you finish, newest first. Tap one and it loads straight back into the tool that worked it out. Clearing the list is two taps.

- Casting mirrors every tool on the TV, not just the calculator, and a cast left idle ends itself after a few minutes.
- New GST calculator: add GST to a quote or pull it out of a total, at any rate. It replaces BMI.
- Landscape fix: the result line always stays visible above the tape.

- Cast to a TV and the board mirrors your phone, skin and all.
- Slate Pro: a one-time unlock for the four extra tools, six more skins and their key sounds.
